Travel Boudoir: Jamaica
I went to Jamaica to host a workshop for Black women and self-love. While there I had the opportunity to capture some beautiful boudoir images of Beautiful Black women with the luxe tulle robe. Let me tell you this robe has a mind of it’s own! Trying to stuff it in my suitcase was not fun at all. I tried rolling it into a ball. That was not the best move at all.
I finally decided to just stuff it in the top portion of my suitcase where you usally put the toiletries. I folded it as best I could and layed it flat then zippened it. It worked! So glad I decided to have it there because the images would not have been the same without it.

Patreace’s Boudoir Experience
Patreace’s Boudoir Experience started out with an initial consultation for a boudoir experience that was just for her. She was ready to step back into her sexy after getting married and having a baby. We spoke about her not having professional images of herself and her husband as a couple. She wanted to do something special to reinforce their connection to each other. Even with though the experience was for her she asked if she could do a few pictures with her husband and I said hell yes! I LOVE couple’s boudoir experiences!
Photographing couples is one of my absolute favorite things to shoot. There is a level of trust that has to be between the couple and the photographer. They are allowing you into their safe space of intimacy and that is not to be taken lightly. I am always honored when I get to do a boudoir experience, but doing a couples experience is a privilege. These experiences are filled with sexual energy, sexual tension, laughter, deeper intimacy, and a lot of lip biting! The Gorgeous Couple
Now back to this gorgeous couple. Patreace stole the show with this one! She informed me that she had never done a professional shoot before. After the experience, I had to ask her again because she did sooo well! Patreace’s Boudoir Experience was all about her. She was ready and able to execute the poses which made my job so easy. Beauties are guided through each and every pose, but each person makes it their own. Patreace made it her own!

Laughter is the best medicine
There is so much I can say about Jacquay, aka Mrs. Idris Elba, but the number one thing is I love her damn laugh! It is so infectious that you can’t help but laugh along with her. She has an amazing imagination. Jacquay made up an entire story about feeling like a Lieutenant Govern’s wife. She even made up what he would be wearing! Tanyisha’s Glam Experience
Some womxn can be hesitant or do not want to do a boudoir experience, but still want to tap into their sensuality and freedom. Which is perfectly okay sensuality is all about having the confidence to step into your power as a womxn. Tanyisha one half of the amazing sister duo, Class & Style Productions, gave me the honor helping her step into her sensuality.

Get That Old Thang Back!
Working with mothers is such a wonderful experience. I love it because when we talk about the crazy and funny antics their little or big ones get into their faces just glow! Their eyes shine bright, a smile appears and they are caught in the beautiful memory.
This is the same feeling I recreate with a glam experience. You being caught up in the moment of seeing yourself not as a mommy, but as a beautiful womxn. A womxn that gets to define her narrative of what motherhood is to her.
